The Department for Education and the Regional Director (Regional Schools Commissioner) have approved the proposed transfer of Nuneaton Academy to the Tudor Grange Academies Trust following an Advisory Board meeting on 22 September. The transfer is expected to take place in January 2023.
Tudor Grange Academies Trust is a family of 12 schools including five secondary, one all-through academy and six primary academies all located in the Midlands. The Trust employs around 500 teachers and educates just under 8,000 pupils. Its story began in 2009 when the Tudor Grange School Solihull sponsored Tudor Grange Academy in Worcester. In 2013, Tudor Grange Academy Worcester was graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted for overall effectiveness and ‘Outstanding’ for leadership and management, and behaviour and safety.

Nuneaton Academy is located close to some of the Tudor Grange Academies Trust schools and is well-placed to provide the support required to build on the Academy’s strengths.

I remain extremely proud of everything that pupils and staff at the school continue to achieve. We will help and support the process as far as possible and will do everything we can to ensure that there is no interruption to pupils’ education at Nuneaton Academy.”
