Family Lunch - Years 7 & 8

We will be introducing Family Lunch for all Year 7 and 8 pupils in September 2022. Family Lunch will be introduced to the whole school the following year when we have access to the facilities in the new build. At Family Lunch all pupils in the year group will sit to eat their lunch together each day in the Main Hall.

Pupils can purchase school dinners or bring a packed lunch. After Family Lunch the pupils will have time to play outside. Family Lunch allows pupils to eat together and get to know each other, creating positive relationships between the pupils.

At Hartshill Academy, being part of a community is an integral part of our school. Belonging within a team and showing respect and values which we believe should be evident at all times of the day, including lunchtime.

In order to sign your child up for Family Lunch, please go to the Weduc app, select OFFERS and choose the family lunch option. The options are

  • £12.50 for 1 Week
  • £82.50 for a full half term

You will be asked whether your child would like the meat or vegetarian option.

If your child is entitled to Free School Meals, please follow the above steps but select one of the below options:

  • Free School Family Lunch for 1 Week
  • Free School Family Lunch for Half Term

These options will only show for those who are registered for Free School Meals. If you do not see this option and believe you should, please email [email protected]

Absence days – If you purchase Family Lunch for your child and they are then absent, you are required to email [email protected] with the date your child was absent. Once each half term we will arrange for any funds to be debited to your childs catering purse and they can use this at break time or breakfast club. This will only be done once each half term. If your child is Free School Meals, you do not need to inform us of any absence.
